Future Risk — Identification, Preparedness and Response to Emerging Issues

Registration: 8–8:30 a.m.
Workshop: 8:30 a.m.–12:05 p.m.

We live in a rapidly changing world with new and more dangerous risks. This workshop will identify future risks by analyzing exposures we face due to pandemic flu, global warming, scarcity of natural resources, and technology advances. Who will be impacted by these exposures and how will the insurance industry be called upon to respond? We will explore issues that underwriters will need to explore regarding these new risks and evaluate the types of claims that may result from these occurrences and for which the claims professional needs to be prepared.

The Dirty Dozen — Twelve External Factors Impacting Insurance Contracts

Registration: 12:30–1 p.m.
Workshop: 1–4:35 p.m.

The role of the claims professional in determining coverage would be so easy if everything was in black and white! Insurance coverage can be impacted by factors external to the contract, which leads to grey areas. In this workshop, attendees will examine twelve factors external to the insurance contract that must be considered when analyzing coverage afforded by a policy contract. This interactive workshop will include examination of recent court cases. To maximize learning, attendees will have an opportunity to apply the principles discussed, and to gauge the impact of the “Dirty Dozen.”

CE Credits!
Each workshop is approved for four (4) CE credits in Pennsylvania.
Each workshop is filed for four (4) CE credits in the state of Delaware.
The Dirty Dozen — Twelve External Factors Impacting Insurance Contracts is approved for four (4) CE credits in New Jersey, and Future Risk: Identification, Preparedness and Response to Emerging Issues is filed for (4) CE credits in New Jersey.

These workshops may be rejected and no credit given. Please call (800) 932-2728, ext. 2767 for updated information on this program.

Please forward this message to your coworkers and colleagues so that they can take advantage of this exciting opportunity to attend a CPCU Society workshop.

Continuing Professional Development Program for CPCUs
