Post COVID-19: The Future of Public-Private Partnerships (Charity Event)

07/30/20 10:00am to 11:15am

As we all continue to deal with the novel coronavirus in our homes, neighborhoods and workplaces, please join us as we kick off our third meeting of the new year (second in a virtual format). Partnering with Benjamin Collier, Associate Professor at Temple University's Fox School of Business, Risk Management and Insurance Program, this session will focus on the future of Public-Private Partnerships -- in a post-COVID-19 world. Using both a presentation and Q&A guided/moderated format, Ben will discuss the possibility of new public-private programs in response to catastrophic global events like the COVID-19 pandemic.

This webinar is being offered to all CPCU and non-CPCU members, as well as to our local university students. ALL are invited to attend, and for your entrance fee, we are requesting your consideration in making a charitable donation (large or small) benefiting the PHL COVID-19 FUND (college students are FREE). CPCU chapters across the country have been stepping up and giving back to those in need during this pandemic, and our chapter also would like to give back to our local community.

Launched on March 19, 2020, the PHL COVID-19 Fund brings together a diverse coalition of philanthropy, government and business partners to create a regional rapid response fund that complements the work of regional public health officials and expands local capacity to address the effects of this national emergency on our region as efficiently and effectively as possible. The Fund is a joint venture between Philadelphia Foundation and United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ).
